Is a quiet and picturesque alpine village located at 1324 m above sea level. This enchanting village is a hamlet of San Leonardo characterised by numerous alpine farms run by Ladin families. The price-to-performance ratio in Badia is rather good. You enjoy high quality accommodations and traditional South Tyrolean and Ladin cuisine. Worth a visit is the parish church of the village, the gothic sanctuary Santa Croce at 2045 m above sea level, and the birth place of Saint Joseph Freinademetz.

Pedraces - Badia
The village of Pedraces enjoys a central location amidst an unspoiled landscape on a slope in the vicinity of the Santa Croce Mountain Massif. Pedraces is part of the Badia community. Here you can admire the unique "enrosadira" phenomenon of the Dolomites turning red in sunset.
Pedraces is ideal for an active mountain holiday with plenty of outdoor possibilities. Leaving from your hotel you can enjoy comfortable walks or demanding hikes to the high altitudes. In summer, Alta Badia is an ideal starting point for hikes and mountain excursions. The area offers more than 400 km of sign-posed hiking paths and fixed-aid climbs. You can enjoy an easy hike in the valley basin or even a demanding mountain tour to high alpine peaks. Furthermore, cycling paths for beginners and the fascinating and demanding Dolomite roads, which are also conquered by the participants of Giro d'Italia, await you.
