this natural paradise can only be reached by foot or off-road vehicle. the woodenegg family has been running the 14th century house for 200 years. special features include a library, music room with grand piano, the light and airy dining room, wood-panelled stube, panoramic veranda and the sundrenched seats by the chestnut tree. sweeping views capture the mediaeval “dürer” town of klausen and the proud monastery of säben, the many villages on the other side of the eisack valley and the peaks of the geißler, sella and langkofel dolomite mountains.
