This sunny and enchanting village at the entry to the Mühlwald Valley and the Ahrntal Valley is an ideal starting point for splendid mountain hikes to the Zillertal Alps, to Neves Lake in Lappach, to the Reinbach Waterfalls or to the traditional Ahrntal Valley. The village of Sand in Taufers with a natural bathing lake and an adventure pool, the village centre with numerous shops and events, and the village of Mühlwald can be easily reached even by foot.
Mühlen offers different mountain-bike routes, two rafting schools, canyoning, horse riding stables, paragliding and hang gliding. The Speikboden ski resort is only 7 km away; the Klausberg ski resort in Steinhaus and the Kronplatz ski carousel in Bruneck are only 10 minutes drive.
