Cross-country skiing in South Tyrol is salutary for both body and soul. Devotees are spoilt for choice, with 1800 kilometres of well-groomed trails amid magnificent mountain scenery: whether classic or skating style, simple circuits or long-distance skiing.

Dolomiti Nordicski
The Committee’s aim is to manage Europe’s largest Nordic skiing circuit with some 1,300 km of Nordic skiing pistes.

The Alpe di Siusi is part of Dolomiti Nordicski with 80 km of cross-country ski-tracks of different levels of difficulty. All of the cross-country ski courses have double or quadruple lanes and are prepared for skating.

Gröden / Val Gardena
Gröden offers more than 115 km of well-prepared cross-country ski runs in all degrees of difficulty, can be described as the eldorado for cross-country skiers.
 
In Ortisei there is a 1 km long beginner’s stretch.
On the Panider Sattel there is a 5 km long track that is ideal for beginners as well as advanced skiers.
On the Val Gardena side of the Seiser Alm at the Pana Alm there is a 8 km long cross-country ski-track.
An exceptionally ideal area for cross-country is the Langental by Selva Gardena. Where the track runs 12 km along the valley floor.
In the part of town called La Selva there is a 2 km track.

Alta Badia offers 38 km of slopes for cross-country skiers, prepared for skating and classical technique.

Hochpustertal / Alta Pusteria
Alta Pusteria with the villages of Sesto, San Candido, Dobbiaco, Villabassa and Braies features connected cross-country tracks of 200 km in total. It is part of the world-biggest cross-country association Dolomiti Nordicski.

Anterselva in the South Tyrol offers you 30km of cross-country trails for skating and traditional cross-country skiing amid wonderful mountain scenery. Of this, 10km is difficult, 10km intermediate and 10 km easy.
Gsiesertal / Valle di Casies- Welsberg / Monguelfo - Taisten / Tesido
Valle di Casies, the sunny valley floor is a perfect place for cross-country skiing trails. There is something for you along the 42 kilometres of trails that comprise the Val Casies cross-country ski area, whether you prefer the skating or the classic style. When the snow conditions are good, you can reach Tesido and Monguelfo on skis.

The cross country skiing track in Riscone has a leght of about 15 km.
